RULES

1/ To secure a seat reservation, a payment of Rs. 6000/- per person is required in cash in advance. The remaining balance must be settled at least 35 days prior to the scheduled journey date.

2/ Children in the age group of 5-11 are eligible for a 20% concession, and those in the age group of 3-5 receive a 50% concession if no separate bed is chosen. For children below 3 years old, charges are Rs. 800/- per child for up to 9 days, Rs. 1200/- per child for up to 13 days, and Rs. 1500/- per child for periods beyond this.

3/ Solo occupancy of a hotel room will incur additional charges for the guest.

4/ For train jorney, there is no assurance provided for specific lower, middle, or upper berths, or seat positions in the train. In these instances, guests are kindly requested to accept the allocations made by the railways.

5/ Tourists are responsible for covering the expenses, including entrance fees at any sightseeing location, ropeway charges, boating fees, horse riding charges, collie charges, porter charges, guide charges, and helicopter ticket fares, etc.

6/ Hotel accommodation is typically arranged on a family-wise basis. However, this arrangement may not be feasible for places such as Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri, and other similar locations.

7/ To process any reservation cancellation request, a written application must be submitted, accompanied by the advance payment receipt or reservation slip issued by Sarathi Tour & Travels. The cancellation time will be computed based on this documentation. Please note that telephonic requests for reservation cancellation will not be entertained. We cannot be held responsible for refunding dues that are not settled within six months.

8/ In the event of tour program cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control, only the deposit amount will be refunded, and no other compensation will be provided.

9/ In unforeseen and compelling circumstances beyond our control, our tour program may undergo alterations, adjustments, and modifications. Sarathi tour & travels will not liable for any failure to reach a scheduled place or destination due to unavoidable situations.

10/ We disclaim any responsibility for accidents, and we do not acknowledge any compensation.

11/ For matters pertaining to railways, airways, and surface transportation, we rely on the respective authorities.

12/ We assume no liability if any tourist fails to catch the train on time or due to last-minute timing changes implemented by railway, airway, or surface transportation authorities. In such cases, individuals are free to join our program at any subsequent station or location. However, for such situations, he/she will be responsible for bearing all costs, including ticket expenses, hotel fares, transportation, and other related expenditures.

13/ Tourists will be responsible for bearing additional costs in the event of an upward revision of rail fare, bus fare, and other related items.

14/ Compensation of cancellation [per person]:

If cancelled up to 60 days before the journey date: 15% of our package cost + Rs. 500.00

If cancelled up to 50 days before the journey date: 25% of our package cost + Rs. 500.00

If cancelled up to 40 days before the journey date: 30% of our package cost + Rs. 500.00

If cancelled up to 30 days before the journey date: 40% of our package cost + Rs. 500.00

If cancelled up to 10 days before the journey date: 60% of our package cost + Rs. 500.00

If cancelled within 72 hours of the journey, no refund is considered.

15/ We will not provide any food or beverages during the train journey.

16/ We are unable to secure preferred rooms in every hotel.

17/ We reserve the exclusive right to change any rule at any time.

18/ It is strictly prohibited to wash clothes inside any hotel.

19/ Passengers are kindly requested to consider changing their seats while traveling by bus or car. This is just for a fair distribution of seating comfort.

20/ If a passenger reserves one or more seats for any tour, Sarathi Tour & Travels will presume that the passenger has carefully read and understood all the rules and conditions of Sarathi Tour and Travels before confirming the seat reservation.
